Terms and Conditions Of Service for In-home sessions
Scope of Work
Crowded House Decluttering is a professional decluttering and home organisation company who will work with you to achieve the organisation and presentation you desire in your home.
I can help you declutter (including relocating items to more appropriate locations within your home), organise and tidy.
Additionally at the end of a project I can help you with cleaning work such as dusting and polishing, sweeping and hoovering.
At the end of each session I can remove up to one car load of items to a charity shop. This is included in the hourly rate. I am unable to remove waste, but can advise and help you book waste clearance solutions.
Any heavy lifting or moving furniture may be delayed if it requires additional assistance.
Removal of Clutter
The decision to donate, sell or dispose of an item is entirely your responsibility and Crowded House Decluttering cannot accept any liability for any items later deemed to be valuable.
All items are donated or disposed of with your authorisation and responsibility is not accepted by Crowded House Decluttering for any item disposed or donated which you later decide was valuable, should not have been disposed of or which you are unable to find later.
Disclaimer
Crowded House Decluttering will support you to make decisions about your belongings and your home. It is important that you make the final decisions yourself and Crowded House Decluttering will not make them for you. You are, therefore, responsible for obtaining any financial, legal or other professional advice that you may consider necessary to support any decision you make.
Crowded House Decluttering accepts no liability for your decisions or the consequences of them.
Hours of Work
You will be invoiced between my arrival and departure times (including breaks) from the property.
Bookings will be made based on a pre-agreed (estimated) time period. However, please note it is not always possible to know how long a job will take. Depending on the pace at which we work together and the progress we make, it may be necessary to schedule additional hours to finish the project. This could be as a continuation of the session (if time permits) or by scheduling additional sessions.
Working hours are 9am to 3pm, Monday to Friday, depending on your location. Weekends and evenings by arrangement only. Minimum 3 hours booking.
Refreshments and Breaks
We will take breaks as and when they are needed. I will bring my own lunch (if working at lunchtime), drinks and refreshments with me. Breaks are included in the session time.
Fees
The hourly rate is £40 (in your home weekday), and £50 weekends and evenings. Hours will be calculated to the nearest quarter of an hour. E.g. if your session is booked to 12.30pm and I depart at 12.40pm you will be charged until 12.45pm.
Duty of Care
You have a duty of care to ensure that the property is safe to work in, and you agree to disclose any circumstances that might put me at risk. For example, infectious diseases or structural flaws to your property.
For the purposes of safety and emergencies another person will always know our location and session timings.
Please arrange for pets and children to be kept safe while our work is in progress.
